Location
The village of Tsemes is located about midway between the Old Town of  Rethymnon (5 kms) and the large hotel sites in the villages along the eastern half of the bay.
In the neighbouring village of Platanias on the coast (5 minutes footwalk) there are tavernas, supermarkets, car and motorbike rentals, bistros, discotheques, exchange offices, and ATM machines.

During the season, an even wider ranging supply of tourism goods and services can be found in the neighbouring village of Adelianos Campos.

|
The Castello Bianco stands by the northern village border of Tsesmes, about midway between the National Road and the country road to Arkadi Monastery, just 400 meters from the sandy beach.
There is an hourly public bus service to Iraklion (80 kms) and Hania (64 kms), as well as to Rethymnon (during the season every 30 minutes).
The bus stop is 300 meters from the house.

Iraklion airport is 85 kms away, Hania aiport 69 kms. With respect to the National Road's winding character, transfer times from and to the airports must not be underestimated.
